Shizuku rubbed her cheeks with a satisfied expression.

After leaving the fancy restaurant, Shizuku and I headed towards the bookstore where the autographing session would be held.

「Um, that store… It looked pretty expensive, are you sure it was okay?」

「Don’t fret. Onii-chan is working hard at his part-time job」

It’s certainly true that the restaurant was a bit more on the expensive side for a student, but I was saving all of my earnings from my novel, so it wasn’t an amount that I couldn’t afford.

「Is that so… I’m sorry for always been so selfish….」

Shizuku muttered apologetically.

I assume she was feeling a little guilty for making me spend money since I was still under her hypnosis.

「Shizuku, did you enjoy the food?」

「Eh… ? It was really good, but… 」

「Then it’s okay, don’t worry about it. It’s normal for a sister to want to be spoiled by her brother」

「….Right ….Thank you」

Shizuku smiled shyly.

Even if I wasn’t hypnotized, I would have still done this if Shizuku had asked me to.

It’s been a long time since I’ve gone out together with Shizuku, who until a few weeks ago, I couldn’t even imagine going out with.

As her brother, how could I not be happy.

Using her bangs to cover her eyes, Shizuku shyly held out her small hand.

「Um… the session… I’m a fan of the Kataimo series, and I’d love to go to the autographing session… B-but it’s not like I’m cheating on you or anything… 」

Perhaps it was because we were getting closer to the bookstore where the signing will be held, but Shizuku blurted out the same line that I have heard for, who knows how many times this last week.

「Of course, I know. Shizuku loves her onii-chan the most after all」

Maybe it was because we were out in public, or maybe because I was just getting excited at teasing her, but I could see a little glimpse of her tsundere character coming out.

But since Shizuku is now aware of the public presence, I could finally carry out the plan I’ve been working out for the last two weeks…

I performed the perfect cliche “male stomach ache scene” that I’d been practising for the longest time, taking my utmost care to not make it look fake.

「N-not good! I have the biggest stomach ache of the century right now..! If I don’t go to the bathroom right now, it’s going to be a disaster… !!!!!」

Right… I’m not just here to hang out with my stepsister today…!

I’ve got a double-booked date with her and my autographing session.

Right now, this is going to be one of my biggest fights in my life

And now is the time to see if I am able to get through this crisis, and see it alive.

「Oh my god! I think there was a bathroom over there!」

「Alright, sorry Shizuku! Go ahead to the autographing event first… ! Onii-chan will be going to the bathroom first… !」

I’m a pretty masterful actor myself… ! I’m almost certain Shizuku will believe me when I say this… !

In order to carry out this operation, I need to be separated from Shizuku first. I’ll need at least 20 minutes of her time.

Playing the role of an ordinary guy with an overly painful stomach, I dashed to the bathroom that Shizuku pointed to, and jumped into the cubicle with great vigor.

Okay, this should buy me at least 20 minutes… and all I have to do now is sneak into the autographing event and…

And for some reason, Shizuku even took out her phone as she continued watching at me.

N-not good…! Of course it’s already bad enough that Shizuku might start filming me in the bathroom, but it’ll be even worse to lose any more time before the autographing session…!

「Shizuku!! W-what’s more important?! Onii-chan in the bathroom, or Ichino-sensei’s autographing session」

In response to my question, Shizuku clenched her teeth.

She said in frustration.

An answer will probably make Shizuku crazy, however, if I give up now, there’s going to be a very bad ending for me.

I can’t stop now in trying to persuade her!

「Listen closely Shizuku… Onii-chan goes to the bathroom more than seven times every week. But what about Ichino-sensei’s autographing session? Is it more than seven times per week?」

「T-that’s true…. If I miss this, I won’t get another chance to acquire Ichino-sensei’s autograph and the after story for the novel…..」

In her own perverted way, she was able to understand the scarcity of the event.

I was about to introduce Shizuku to a good psychiatrist if she prioritized my bathroom deflowering scene over an autographing session.

「Given the scarcity of these events, can we save the observation of onii-chan’s bathroom scene for another time…?」

「If you get in a pinch, just call me! I’ll be here in two seconds! Got it?!」

「O-ok! T-thanks… !」

Shizuku left the restroom with a regretful look on her face.

After I confirmed that she had definitely left by sound, I quickly took out the equipment from the bag I was carrying.

There were some minor hiccups, but I’m still generally on pace… Fifteen minutes until the appointed meeting time with Yoshizawa-san… We have to make it on time…!!

Still gasping for air, I ran into the back door of the bookstore where the book signing was scheduled, and into the staff room.

「Oh, there you are!」

In the staff room, Yoshizawa-san (editor in charge), another editor, and two bookstore clerks were sitting around a desk, having some kind of meeting.

A couple of them rolled their eyes as soon as they saw me.

「Ichino-sensei, may I please have a word with you?」

「Ah… Yes」

Yoshizawa-san grabbed me by the arm and brought me into the locker room.

「…Ichino-sensei, can I ask you a question?」

She said this while staring at me, as if she was looking at some fool.

I replied with a blank face.

「Yes? What’s wrong?」

「Ichino-sensei’s gender is… male, correct?」

「Eh? Of course」

「So then tell me… Why do you have your hair down to your waist today?」

「Umm… Growth spurt?」

「I see… so what about that dress with the frilly skirt?」

「It’s a hobby」

「… So Ichino-sensei, you will be wearing a wig, a cute dress, and even makeup, on your first autographing session of your life… is that correct?」

「Yes」

Yes, this is the strategy of mine… 

If your brother is now suddenly a sister, even my bratty stepsister won’t even notice!

But, I can’t retreat and unveil now!

「What in the world kind of situation are in where your life would be in danger if you don’t dress up as a woman?」

Raising her brow a bit more and growing increasingly stern, Yoshizawa-san asked me.

「T-that… I can’t tell you」

The moment I answered, she grabbed me by the chest and slammed me against the lockers.

「…Tell me. Tell me or I’ll destroy it」

Yoshizawa-san flashed her knee.

I don’t think you’ll need any context to understand what she’s going to destroy…!

「Yoshizawa-san! Please calm down!」

「…One of my best newcomer authors has dressed himself as a woman for his first big showing.. Do you think I can stay calm?!」

「Kugh…. I don’t know what to say!」

But!  I can’t talk about it right now, even if it’s the right thing to do!

This woman, Yoshizawa-san, is a crazy editor who, if she knew about my current situation, would try to scavenge and somehow  incorporate it into her works, no matter what.

My stepsister, who’d tell me to die, die, die everyday, tried to hypnotize me into falling in love with her while I was asleep…. How Yoshizawa-san would looove that story….!
